Extraction: May Chang essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the small pepper-like fruits from the plant Litsae cubeba Lauraceae. The pure oil is yellow and light in consistency.
Aroma: May Chang has a crisp, fruity, citrus scent with vegetative notes. Similar to Lemongrass or Lemon Verbena.

Properties: May Chang essential oil has astringent, antiseptic, stimulant and tonic properties. It has a refreshing and uplifting action making it a useful oil for relieving fatigue and lethargy. It has a tonic effect on the nervous system and can help to provide clarity of thought when you are feeling nervous, stressed, anxious or confused.
Uses: Massage, baths and vaporization.
Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Galangal, Geranium, Ginger, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Petitgrain, Rosewood, Rosemary Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang.
Caution: May Chang essential oil should always be diluted to 5% or less with a carrier oil before use. It may be slightly irritating to the skin.
