Lavender High Alpine Essential Oil
Lavandula angustifolia
Lavender oil was a favourite bath time cleaner for the ancient Romans and has been used to speed healing.
Source: Lavandula angustifolia is grown in the French Alps.
Extraction: High Alpine Lavender essential oil is steam distilled from the freshly cut flowering tops of the evergreen shrub Lavandula angustifolia.
Aroma: High Alpine Lavender essential oil has pungent floral notes and is a sweet and herbaceous scent.
Fragrance note: Middle.
Properties: High Alpine Lavender is both relaxing and stimulating, a powerful antiseptic and healer. It calms, refreshes, invigorates and lifts the spirits.
In aromatherapy High Alpine Lavender essential oil is excellent for tension, tiredness or feelings of depression, skin problems and aches or pains.
Because it is so gentle, it may be applied undiluted to burnt skin or insect bites and is safe to use during pregnancy.
Uses: Massage, baths, vaporization, poultice, compress and may be added to base emollients.
Blends well with: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Grapefruit, Juniper, Lemon, Lemongrass, Mandarin, Marjoram, Oakmoss, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Pine, Ravensara, Rose, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Thyme and Vetiver.
Caution: Always ensure proper dilution of High Alpine Lavender essential oil.
