Ho Wood Essential Oil
Cinnamomum camphora Camphor and Ho Wood come from the same tree. Camphor is distilled from the wood of the tree, while Ho Wood comes from the leaf and contains Linalol (80-90%).
Ho Wood Essential Oil properties are very similar to Camphor, it is mainly used in the fragrance industry.

Extraction: Ho wood essential oil is steam distilled from the branches and leaves of the
Cinnamomum camphora tree, followed by rectification (similar to Rosewood).
Aroma: Ho Wood essential oil has a bright, warm, slightly woody scent.
Fragrance note: Middle.
Properties: Ho Wood essential oil is antiseptic, stimulating and relaxing to the mind. When well diluted it can be used as a chest rub, or to vaporise.
Uses: Massage, baths and vaporization.
Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cajeput, Chamomile, Geranium, Lavender, Sandalwood, Vertiver and Ylang Ylang.
Caution: Always dilute Ho Wood essential oil to less than 5% before applying to the skin
