Source: Juniperus virginiana is native to North America and Canada.
Extraction: Cedarwood Virginian essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of the evergreen coniferous tree.
Aroma: Cedarwood Virginian essential oil has a stimulating, refreshing and woody scent similar to lead pencil shavings.
Fragrance note: Base.
Properties: Cedarwood Virginian essential oil is stimulating, refreshing and toning. It is used for its uplifting and antiseptic properties. Good for balancing oily skin and refreshing during a cold when inhaled in a steam bath.
Uses: Massage, baths, vaporization and can be added to a base emollient.
Blends well with: Black Pepper, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Roman Chamomile and Sweet Marjoram.
Caution: Ensure proper dilution of Cedarwood Virginian essential oil. Avoid during pregnancy.
