Extraction: Calendula Absolute Oil is obtained by infusing macerated Marigolds in oil. It is not an essential oil but infused oil.
Aroma: Calendula Absolute Oil has a strong, sharp and herbaceous scent.
Fragrance note: Base.
Properties: Calendula Absolute Oil is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and astringent.
In aromatherapy Calendula Absolute Oil is used to help with sore, inflamed and itchy skin conditions. It is also used for burns, eczema, nappy rash and sore cracked nipples.
It is also used to soothe thread and spider veins as well as varicose veins.
Uses: Massage, baths and may be added to base emollients.
Blends well with: Cypress, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Rose otto, Frankincense, Seabuckthorn and Saw palmetto.
Caution: Always dilute Calendula Absolute Oil to 5% or less in a suitable carrier oil before use.
